Acrylic Nail Removal Process

While removing your acrylic nails at home isnt usually recommended it is possible to do so in a pinch.

This is typically the same process thats used at salons. The warm towel can be set on tinfoil to warm up Acetone to have the best result. You might see the nail layers or surrounding skin peeling away.

Take cuticle pusher to remove acrylic polish. Use a nail tip clipper to cut off the excess length of your acrylics. If you want to make your acrylic nails easier to remove you should avoid using any nail primer during the application process.

Begin at the nail. Cut them as close as possible to your natural nails. Some salons may opt for one or the other.

Most salons will use a combination of acetone soaking and filing to remove acrylic nails. Either way the process generally takes between 25-45 minutes. These procedures can be really harsh on the skin so apply a gentle moisturizer after the process.
